Over time, visuals and dialog will be refreshed in order to maintain an on-going progression of the artist, as well as to create renewed interest upon your return visit to this site.

Artist's Statement
- Born in Halifax, Nova Scotia (1952-still kicking). Traveled extensively throughout Canada ("stem to stern, top to bottom," as it were), absorbing the varied ethnicities and vistas that make Canada the torch-bearer she is known for globally.
- Having been involved in the arts in one form or another from early youth, it wasn't until arriving in Teslin, Yukon in 1979 that Scott began to "stir the stew pot" of gathered artistic knowledge. Shape and form began to bubble to the surface, allowing a signature presentation to emerge.
- Primarily interested in landscape, Scott has also noticed "the humanities" emulating from his creative conjuring. Full color "back to back" approach, gleaned from the brilliance of "spring light" which erupts each year in the Yukon, is the "scaffolding" of Scott's work.
- He states: "There is enough subject matter in the North to last an artist ten life-times..." In the same breath, he admits one of his project desires is to "return from whence he came," to paint a little bit of each Province/Territory, hopefully in the companionship of other artists, allowing different interpretations of the same subject matter.
- Scott's present medium is acrylic/water, 300lb. Arches archival rough paper (full 22x30, half 11x30, & quarter 11x15 sheets).
