We are the Sport Governing body for:
Road
Racing, Cross-Country, Track and Field, Snowshoeing and Race Walking in the Yukon.
Our mission is to:

To promote and encourage participation in athletics as a life-long
pursuit;
To promote, encourage, co-ordinate and administer the sports of :
Road Racing, Cross Country, Track and Field, Snowshoeing and Race Walking.
To provide opportunities for all athletes to participate at their level of
ability.

Our Services
- Events

 | Athletics Yukon establishes, each year, a schedule of
athletic events ranging from cross-country races to road races. This schedule is
distributed widely. |
 | As part of the event schedule, Athletics Yukon establishes
a series of Yukon Championship events. In a typical year this will include the Yukon
Cross-Country Championships, the Yukon 5 k. and 10 k. Road Championships. |
 | To have your event placed on the schedule all the event
organizer has to do is contact the Events Director for Athletics Yukon prior to
December 31 each year. |
Sanctioning
 | Event organizers who want to have their event sanctioned
need to make a portion of the entry fee payable to Athletics Yukon. |
 | In exchange for the established fee, the organizers receive
a number of benefits. These include: event insurance that covers the organizers and
the participants. This coverage also includes a medical component; access to sophiscated
timing equipment and organizational materials; technical assistance in planning and
runnng an event. |
Insurance
 | All members of Athletics Yukon are covered by a blanket
insurance poicy while engaged in official sanctioned Athletics Yukon activities. |
Teams
 | As part of Athletics Yukon committment to
ensuring that members have access to a range of competitive experiences, periodically
Athletics Yukon will establish selection criteria and chose althletes to compete in major
competitions outside the territory.
