Trail of '98 Road Relay on September 6 & 7. Space is limited, so bring

The Arena is now available for tennis for an hourly rental rate.
Call the Village Office at 634-2293 to reserve your time. The Arena will
be opening for rollerblading, street hockey and basketball very soon.
VILLAGE COUNCIL MEETINGS
The next meetings of Village Council are scheduled for Wednesday,
June 12 & 26. If you would like to be placed on a Council Meeting Agenda,
please contact Sheila O'Hanlon by 12 noon the previous Thursday.

THE JUNCTION FUNCTION FUNDING FOUNDATION

- $500 to the Village of Haines Junction to assist with the cost of building
the new arena trophy case.
- $18.95 to the Trail of '42 Road Race for the purchase of the "Men
of Steele" video for a draw prize

HELP STOP CHILD ABUSE
The Village Office has copies of the YTG brochure YOU CAN HELP STOP CHILD
ABUSE for community volunteers & coaches.
DAYHOME NEEDS HELP
A post-secondary student is needed full-time for a Haines Junction dayhome.
Wage is $11.50/hour, 37.5 hours per week. Field of education must relate
to children. For information about this position under the STEP program,
$$$ IN YOUR POCKET!
As of July 1, there will be deposits and refunds for glass and
plastic non-liquor beverage containers. Consumers will pay a deposit on
any glass, plastic or aluminum beverage container sold and they will receive
