• Yukon Hire gives preference to Yukon workers and businesses when spending public funds, without excluding workers and businesses from outside the territory.

• Some parts of the policy are already in effect, such as new incentives under the Business Incentive Program.

• Some parts of the policy need more consultation with labour and business, such as changes to apprentice training to complement the apprenticeship program.
